Congratulations to our Catechumins Allie and Alison who have now become 'the elect', as they are elected by God; called and chosen!
The RCIA team joined together at St Patrick's Cathedral this Sunday afternoon for a liturgy with our Archbishop Comensoli, adding their names into the book of the elect. How powerful it was to see the Cathedral crowded with new Christians, hungry for Christ. Everyone was full of smiles (and some joyous tears even in our pew).
As Godparents, parish members and brothers and sisters in Christ we stood strong in affirming them to the Archbishop, ready to receive Christ in the Easter Sacraments. An emotional and holy liturgy it was today! Please continue to pray for them this Lent!
