The healing qualities of lasagna and Christmas carols

We celebrated our last Healing and Anointing Mass for the year on Friday 6 December 2019. Fr John and Christine provided a beautiful liturgy and our wonderful Grade 5/6 children joined our parishioners at mass.

We try to give lunch after the December Healing Mass a bit of festive spirit and this one had it in spades.

Our beautiful parishioner Marietta once again made two huge dishes of her homemade lasagna - always such a treat.

One of the highlights was the arrival of the Grade 3/4 students, with teachers Chris, Rachael and Liane. They sang a number of wonderful Christmas carols, many complete with fun actions.

Four of our Grade 5 students, Clare, Mischa, Lincoln and Matilda helped to serve lunch but treated us also to a rendition of 'We wish you a Merry Christmas' with the chorus sung in Mandarin.

Great to hear that the St Columba's children are still contributing the healing mass with great fervour. It is amazing what the power of nourishing food, prayer and song can do. Thanks for sharing this with us.
